When will you have lens configurations based off of OPC's so that we can use it to track our stock on hand?

Good afternoon Logan,
Currently you can add configurations and OPCs to a spectacle lens.
1) Tick the Inventory check box on the spectacle Lens inventory item. This will enable the configurations tab. 2) Click the Add button and enter the configuration. 3) Repeat this process for all the configurations you wish to add to this lens. 4) Click the Add button under the OPC field and type in the OPC for this lens. Now you can keep track of your On Hand counts for the stock lens configurations you have added. Keep in mind that the UPC is only optional and not needed in order to keep track of inventory.

Thanks for the help! I am aware that you can enter configurations manually, however I was hoping for a solution similar to the optiport configurations import you have (or used to have) in the contact lens module. Something like that for lenses would be helpful for us integrated retailers! It would be nice for the opticians to see what kind of stock we have on hand in the lab.

Jennifer,
Can you explain this process a bit more...I have tried to enter the lenses from our stock room into this system and I'm just not understanding how it works...Lets say you would like to enter all of your semi-finished Younger Image Progressives into the system. You would Tick the Inventory check box on the spectacle Lens inventory item. This will enable the configurations tab. In the configurations tab you can click add and another UPC entry line appears and you can indicate base curve and add power. However this does not seem to allow entry of the individual OPC code configurations. So the front office only sees that we have x number of Younger Image Progressive lenses in stock...they can't seem to see or choose base curves and add powers we have in the stock room....not to mention there is no way to indicate OD vs OS without adding a whole 2nd duplicate lens and indicating left vs right...I'm very confused and would love to track our individual lenses by OPC in our Lens stock room with MVE, but I must be missing something...Please help!

I am experiencing the same issue with my OPC code. I need to re-stock soon for my eye hospital. Need help, please!
